
Fairtrade Fortnight 2025: 22 September – 5 October
The theme for this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight is “Brew it Fair”
.
It aims to contrast the low wages, poverty, gender discrimination, unsafe working conditions, and environmental damage in much of the tea supply chain, with the life enhancing situation on Fairtrade tea estates and co-operative farms.
As well as encouraging people to choose to buy Fairtrade certified tea, we are calling on people to sign a petition to the UK government to pass a law to make businesses responsible for human rights, sustainable practices and environmental protection in their supply chains. EVENTS
Saturday, 13th September – COMMUNITY GALA DAY – at the Lee Hub Independent Community Library.

GFA will have a stall, with a display on the theme of “How Fair is Your Cuppa”, some Fairtrade products to sample, lots of information, a raffle and the petition.
22nd September – 4th October. “HOW FAIR IS YOUR CUPPA?” A display at the Gosport Discovery Centre (ground floor)
A similar display will be available at other venues too – WATCH THIS SPACE for additional dates and venues.
Saturday, 4th October. 2 – 4 p.m. GFA’s MAD HATTER’S FAMILY TEA PARTY – at YAMC, Blanchard Avenue, Alver Village, PO13 8NR
